Data integrity is crucial, which is why simply discarding a used hard drive may not be sufficient. Even if you erase the drive by magnetically degaussing it, the data might still be at risk. INFOSTOP HDD / SSD Hard Drive Shredders provide a high level of security by physically destroying discarded hard drives.

For enhanced security and accountability, there is an optional video recording validation system with internal and external cameras to monitor the destruction process as it takes place. The video recording system includes a 64GB SD card to store video recordings, which can be removed and downloaded as required. One hour of recording uses approximately 1GB of storage space on the SD card = 64 Hours of recording.

Operation is straight forward by simply loading a hard drive into one of the two cutting chambers and closing the safety shield. The larger 3.5HDD entry shears hard drives into pieces 40mm wide while the smaller 2.5 HDD entry also shears SSD drives, USB, SD, CF, smart phones etc 10mm wide. In addition LTO, DLT-S, DAT, AIT & QIC Backup Tapes can also be shredded.

The shredded pieces fall into a moulded plastic waste bin for proper disposal or recycling. Designed for increased productivity, users are able to load drives continuously, one at a time.

The shearing discs are made of highly hardened steel for unmatched  durability and a long, maintenance free service life. Each shredding chamber has a metal safety shield and a resettable LED counter to keep an accurate count of shredded drives.

The LED control panel displays operational status and offers jam protection with Auto Reverse and Auto Stop functions. Additionally, sensors automatically stop the motor if any doors or openings are open or the waste bin is full. The motor is housed in an all-metal cabinet with heavy duty castors for mobility and is designed to operate with low noise levels.

For improved productivity, an output conveyor can be optioned to minimise downtime emptying.
